A new fashion blog? In 2015? Groundbreaking.

Let's face it. It's basically the middle of 2015, and everyone is fashion blogging nowadays. And by everyone, I mean E-V-E-R-Y-O-N-E - it started off with a small handful of fashion-forward females composing blog posts on what clothes they wore or what their opinions were on clothes other people wore. But now you have celebrities doing it, moms doing it, 12-year olds doing it, you probably even have friends or friends of friends making (or attempting to make) their marks here on the blogosphere. And what can I blame them for? The concept of fashion blogging is so glamorized in today's world - take a picture of whatever outfit you have on, post it, maybe write a little about it, and if you're lucky enough you'll get some free clothes, get invited to fashion shows and other cool events, maybe meet some celebrities, and become a mini-celebrity of some sorts yourself. It's pretty hard not to be intrigued by the whole concept of achieving so much by doing something so seemingly effortless to the point that you wouldn't at least try it out yourself.

Sure, there are tons of amazing fashion bloggers out there who actually post quality content here on the internet for the masses to consume, but you also see hundreds and hundreds individuals out here regurgitating and whipping out some half-assed blog posts that it gets kinda' old, kinda "Oh, you have a blog too? That's cool, I guess."

You're probably thinking by now: "Okay, girl, if you're saying all of that, then what makes you so special? What makes you any different from those chicks you're talking about?" Honestly, not too much - I'll admit it. I am just another girl posting pictures of and blogging about her sartorial adventures and musings: random Outfit of the Day's (aka #OOTDs), shopping finds, etc. I guess the fact that I'm also an aspiring editorial stylist (sort of) sets me apart from the masses, so expect the occasional blog post or two on my road to achieving that goal of mine. Plus, fashion blogging has been an ongoing project of mine since I was 13 (I'm 18 now, if you're wondering). After numerous failed attempts (2 tumblrs and 2 other blogspots) of personal style blogging, I'm able to and am actually dedicating myself to this craft and aspiration of mine so that I can finally accomplish it.

Aside from all of that, I hope you enjoy my blog. I'll try my hardest to not be a total bore, I promise. Happy reading!
